You're invited to join us and close to a thousand other men at the 4th annual "Be A Man" Catholic Men's Conference for the Scranton Diocese, which will be held at King's College in Wilkes Barre on Saturday, May 5th, 2018.

The three solidly Catholic guest presenters have now been finalized !! They are:

  • Tom Peterson – a former corporate businessman and entrepreneur who founded Catholics Come Home Inc. and VirtueMedia Inc., both educational not-for-profit apostolates dedicated to promoting Catholic evangelization and the sanctity of human life. In 2011, the Catholics Come Home ‘evangomercials’ were the first to air nationally on top TV networks like CBS and NBC. VirtueMedia’s sanctity-of-life commercials help as many as 22,000 abortion-vulnerable women in a given month, and were the first pro-life ads to air nationally on MTV, VH1 and BET. Tom speaks at National Catholic Conferences and pro-life events throughout the United States and internationally, and has presented at the Vatican and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Upon the election of Pope Francis, Tom was selected to offer live commentary on Fox News worldwide. A husband, father and grandfather who lives in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia, he encourages others to seek God’s plan for their lives, and to help change our world for the better. His book entitled “Catholics, Come Home” was published in 2013 by Image/Random House.
  • Fr Michael Gaitley MIC – a member of the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception. Prior to his ordination to the priesthood in October 2010, he attended Franciscan University in Steubenville OH, received an MA in Theology from St John Seminary in Boston MA, and earned a Licentiate Degree in Moral Theology from the Dominican House of Studies in Washington DC. Fr Gaitley is the author of several best-selling books, including “Consoling the Heart of Jesus” and “33 Days to Morning Glory.” which are published by Marian Press. He frequently appears on EWTN, speaks at conferences and preaches retreats. When he is not on the road, Fr. Michael lives and works on Eden Hill in Stockbridge MA, home of the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy. He serves as the director of Evangelization for the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception and director of Formation for the Marian Missionaries of Divine Mercy.
  • Jesse Romero – a full-time bilingual Catholic Lay Evangelist, who is nationally acclaimed for his dynamic, upbeat Christ-centered preaching. The name of his preaching apostolate is "On Fire Evangelization." He is a resident of Arizona and a retired Los Angeles Deputy Sheriff who has been married to his wife Anita since 1983, and is father of three children with several grandchildren. Jesse has a BA from Mount St Mary’s University in Los Angeles and an MA in Catholic Theology from Franciscan University in Steubenville OH. He is a bilingual Catholic author, and the recipient of 1) the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Award, 2) the Fullness of Truth “Defender of Faith” Award, and 3) the “Sports Faith International Award.” Jesse has been on Catholic radio for over 12 years hosting, teaching and speaking in English and Spanish. Jesse’s motto is: “Love God, Save Souls, Slay Error!”

Scranton Bishop Joseph Bambera will celebrate our closing Mass and deliver the homily.

The theme for our 2018 conference is “Christ is Here, Come and See.” Our speakers will emphasize Christ’s real presence in the Eucharist and the importance of our response to His presence. Jesus Himself is here, alive, and eagerly waiting for each of us. You live because of Him, and will live more abundantly when you draw closer to the Way, the Truth, and the Life. You will experience how Jesus dwells in you and you in Him. He loves us — what a beautiful consoling thought — perfect, sublime, and profound. His burden is light, and He has many blessings in store for each of us, most especially the Bread of Life.
